Christac is a self-taught photographer and painter. He started photography in the 1990s with film cameras such as the Canon AE1, Olympus OM1 and OM10. Unfortunately, he had to stop photography in the early 2000s due to the high cost of developments and the unsatisfactory quality of digital cameras.
In 2015, he had an irrepressible desire to take up photography again and tested several digital cameras before discovering the Fujifilm XT2, which allowed him to find the same sensations as with film. Passionate about his art, he likes to share his knowledge and advise beginners to better understand photography.
In September 2017, Christac won the jury's first prize at the "Le Patrimoine de Sarthe" competition organized in Verniette. His pictures were exhibited until the end of December in Sillé-le-Guillaume (Sarthe).
Christac appreciates nomadic life and is close to nature, animals and old stones. He loves to tinker and make all kinds of everyday objects with recycled materials.
When he photographs, Christac seeks tranquility and communion with his surroundings. He is attracted to nature, places steeped in history and likes to be in places where he can sit and let time slip away, far from the modern hustle and bustle.
