Hello, my name is Cherie and I'm a full time artist. I've been painting for about 7 years now. I've always enjoyed art, but I only would sketch. I met a fellow artist who inspired me to give painting a try. Now, most of my work is acrylic and oil painting and a lot less sketching. I spent 13 years developing and teaching art classes for the Peoria Park District and taught at Illinois Central College for 3 years for the "College For Kids" program. I have also volunteered countless hours to after school programs and art fairs in the Peoria area. I especially like to work with children to encourage using art as a creative outlet of expression. When Im not painting, I enjoy time with my family and friends. I also like watching movies, especially comedies (Office Space is my all time favorite). I am always interested in all types of art....so if you want to share...do share. I am always looking for feedback on my work as well. Lately, I have been stepping out of my comfort zone and trying some new things......let me know what you think. :)
