Betty
I was born in Paris and I remain so, yet I live here in Antibes in the light of Provence where I have set up my studio.
From my studies in Plastic Arts at the Sorbonne and then at the Ecole du Louvre, I keep the nostalgia for Italian and Flemish painting. Even more, perhaps, that of the light of the Tuscan countryside which I try to flood my painting.
Painting is second nature and I devote all my hours to it every day.
I am a lover of detail and color.
Before undertaking my new paintings, I devoted three months to practice reproducing a bouquet by the Flemish painter Van Dael in order to refine my technique.
I hope you will take as much pleasure in looking at these paintings as I took in making them.
