Winter in Russia is a mirror of the Russian soul. Winter is different, but always long. For me, from childhood, it is remembered as the most fun time of the year! Winter in Russia is a mirror of the Russian soul. Winter is different, but always long. For me, from childhood, it is remembered as the most fun time of the year! Snow-white slides on which we rode in a sleigh, how we walked with dad for a Christmas tree late in the evening, how they hung clothes to dry outside in frost ... Frost always pinched our cheeks and nose. But he never scared me. Because winter is a part of life that we are used to! Go to school at -20, play snowballs, even build a real snow tower! I love the Russian winter! The main thing is to dress warmly😂

Valeriya Avtukhova is a contemporary Russian artist born in 1987 in Tajikistan. As refugees, her family moved to Russia at the beginning of the Civil War in the republic. All her childhood Valeriya spent in the Russian countryside. She finished school with honors. She always loved to draw, but she didn't have an opportunity to study painting since there was no local art school.

In 2008, Valeria graduated from Institute for the Humanities and Information Technologies with a major in financial management. She started her career in a design studio in an advertising agency as she always has got a good feeling of art. Then working for several large companies and banks as a top manager, she moved to Moscow where she finally bought her own apartment.

For 15 years, Valeria Avtukhova was the leader and co-author of youth projects at the Russian Youth Union. The projects covered the areas of leadership through revealing creative abilities. The artist believes that every child is talented and his gift must be discovered. Valeria was repeatedly awarded diplomas from the Ministry of Sports, Tourism and Youth Policy of the Russian Federation for her activity in those projects.

After the birth of her child, Valeria took up painting as a hobby. She completed a number of art courses and discovered that it was the thing she was eager to do in her life. Valeria has chosen abstraction and landscape as the main tunes in her works after a lot of experiments. Her first abstract collection is devoted to purposefulness, achievements and the inner state of a person. Through symbolic abstract images the artist tries to manifest that every little step of a man leads towards his dream. Valeria’s landscapes are full of expression and dynamic. Her paintings are some kind of meditative art that helps to relax and gives time to reflect.

In her life, Valeria has achieved everything on her own as a result of hard work and daily task solving. She finds her inspiration from lyrical abstractions of Simon Kenny, ethereal strokes of Irina Smirnova, color combinations of Kim Rose. The artist believes that with the help of her art one can highlight the main point and focus on priorities. Valeria paints every day and actively sells all over the world. Her works are presented in private collections in Europe, America and Russia.

Statement
I believe that every person is the creator of his own destiny and the builder of his own happy life. When I tune in to solve some problem on the way to my dream, I start meditative painting. And it often happens that in the process of painting, I find the right solution. That is why in my works I express hope, despair, inner support, memories, and everything that lives inside me as I go step by step towards my goals. My whole life is permeated with the idea of achievements and goals. A dream, setting a goal, regular actions and achieving results are the basis of my life and my work. When someone does not stand still, good luck is sure to be attracted to him.
