Biography
Lanto R. is a contemporary artist from Reunion Island. Her artistic journey has been a gradual process of development and self-discovery. Starting with the acquisition of the essential techniques and principles of painting and drawing under the guidance of professional artists, Lanto began constructing her unique artistic world, one step at a time.
While immersed in her professional career, Lanto nurtured her artistic passion and eventually found the courage to make the profound shift towards a life dedicated to art. This transition marked a departure from her academic and methodical professional world and represented the beginning of her artistic odyssey.
Driven by an unyielding desire to express the depths of her emotions and experiences, Lanto has continued to evolve her artistic practice. Her search for the ideal means of self-expression has led her down a path that explores the intricacies of lines in their multifaceted forms. Whether they be straight or curved, thin or thick, even in the act of writing, lines have become the central focus of her artistic exploration.
