12 AUSPICIOUS NAMES OF LORD GANESHA

Ganesha is Vighneshvara or Vighnaraja or Vighnaharta (Marathi), the Lord of Obstacles, both of a material and spiritual order. He is popularly worshipped as a remover of obstacles, though traditionally he also places obstacles in the path of those who need to be checked.
I created this painting depicting 12 Auspicious names and their meanings, of Lord Ganesha. They are:

2. Ek Danta ~ Destroyer of Dualism
3. Krishna Pingaksha ~ Destroyer of Ignorance
4. Gaj Vakra ~ Unlimited Knowledge
5. Lambodar ~ Destroyer of Anger
6. Vikat ~ Destroyer of Lust
7.Vighn Raj ~ Destroyer of Hardship
8. Dhumra Varna ~ Destroyer of Self Indulgence
9. Bhal Chandra ~ Supreme Scholar
10. Vinayak ~ Pathfinder
11. Ganpati ~ The Sage
12. Gajanan ~ Destroyer of Greed

and these are used as a powerful and easy prayer to seek the grace of Lord ganesha. You can chant these names as a part of daily prayer. Chanting these names during Vinayaki and Sankashti chaturthi puja is considered highly auspicious.

My take in this painting is based entirely on contemporary abstract stylization.
