Watercolor

Watercolor is a painting in which gum arabic binds transparent pigments revealing the support of the painting. The gouache, of identical composition, is opaque. A watercolor is a water-based painting on paper. We rarely speak of a painting for a work painted in watercolor. Watercolor paintings are considered to be a unique way to creatively represent dreams, illusions, emotions and luminous feelings using water soluble pigments. However, painting with watercolors can be difficult. It's a difficult medium to master, in large part because it can be ruthless and unpredictable. Mistakes are difficult to correct and its fluid nature makes it difficult to control. Yet it is these very qualities that give the medium its undeniable charm.

Figurative

Figurative and colorful painting having taken the liberty of including all forms of art without border of cultural genre and geographic origin, without hierarchy of values between high and subculture.

Technic Painting

Painting is an art form of painting on a surface by aesthetically applying colored fluids. Painters represent a very personal expression on supports such as paper, rock, canvas, wood, bark, glass, concrete and many other substrates. Work of representation or invention, painting can be naturalistic and figurative, or abstract. It can have narrative, descriptive, symbolic, spiritual, or philosophical content.

France

September 11, 1958: Birth of Marie Joseph LUCIANI in Bangui (Republic Center Africa) of a father and a mother from Corsica Island (France).

As of its schooling, it starts to carry out the caricatures of its professors and draws for her buddies of class.

Until 1973: she saw apart from France (Africa, Polynésie, Saint Pierre and Miquelon) then return in Paris.

1976 marriage in Paris.

From 1978: several long stays with its family throughout the world (Tusinia, Venezuela, Countries of the arabian Gulf, Scotland...) where she is impregnated by cultural environments and diversities. Other travels during the holidays throughout the world enabled her to refine its sensiblity of artist and to have the eye of a Globe's trotter. She has two children: Pascal and Laetitia.

1992 - 1996: Engaged more regularly in painting, her first vocation and follows several training courses of pictorial art:

- 1992: courses of oil-base paint to the Workshop Nathalie Doré
- 1993: courses of drawing to the ECLA
- 1993-1996: she follows courses of watercolour in the ' Women' S Institute for toilets colour' (Scotland).
- Since 1996 : she follows courses of watercolour with the ECLA.

From 2000, she is affirmed in her painting and in particular in the watercolour and partcipe with several exposures in France:
- 2000 Exposure in Versailles (Coffee of the Artists)
- 2001 Exposes in Rueil Malmaison (Watercolour 2000)
- 2002 Exposure in Rueil Malmaison (Gone of Artists)
- 2002 Exposure in Rueil Malmaison (Watercolour 2002)
- 2003 She was selected for the Show ECLA 2003 ' Five Artists expose to Saint Cloud'
- 2003 Exposure to the 27th Show of Painting and Sculpture in Marnes La Coquette (rewarded by the Price of the Public)
- 2003 Exposure to the Museum of the Filberts (Saint Cloud)
- 2004 Exposure to the Show of Painting and Sculpture of Marnes la Coquette
- 2005 Exposure to the Show of Le Pecq.

In spite of an enough geographically animated life, Marie Jo Luciani privileged always her roots and systematically spends her summer holidays in family to Corsica.
