Partageant son temps entre l'Ardèche et la banlieue lyonnaise, Christian Lariviére, a collaboré comme dessinateur à plusieurs journaux ou magazines : l'Humanité, la Voix du Lyonnais, l'Ecole Libérée, bulletins municipaux de Meyzieu, Décines, Mions ...
Son humour engagé est lié aux responsabilités syndicales et politiques prises au cours de sa carrière dans l'enseignement.
Son talent de dessinateur-maquettiste lui a valu d'être récompensé à divers concours :
- 4éme prix du "concours Humour et Santé" organisé par la ville de Lyon, sous la présidence de son maire, du docteur Meyrieux, du professeur Dubernard ...
- Ses projets de maquettes ont été retenus et utilisés pour : le Salon de l'Auto, les Internationaux de Lyon de Tennis de Table, les affiches des cabarets lyonnais : "Le Pied dans l'plat", "le Distingo"... d'artistes : Pierre Péchin, Babass, Terry Kevin, Arthur Jorka, Yann Jamet, Guy Bert, Eric Dorey, Alan Stivell ..."
Il est l'auteur de trois recueils : "Défais mes rides en éphéméride", "Plus je connais les hommes, plus j'aime mon chien !", "Mieux vaut en rire", un recueil de dessins d'humour sur le handicap, à la demande de l'Association APAJH (Association pour Adultes et Jeunes Handicapés.)
