Iris, studied architecture at the École des Beaux Arts in Paris. She began painting in her native country Haiti and was quickly called upon to represent it on the international scene, in Miami, Florida at the Art America exhibition in 1996. The success of this exhibition opened the doors of galleries in Florida. A first solo exhibition at Ryals Gallery, Boca Raton in 1998, followed by three other exhibitions in Delray Beach, Miami, Fort Lauderdale.

The year 2000 will mark a major change and the rise of her artistic career, first, a solo exhibition at the prestigious Art Center of Port au Prince, then an exhibition bringing together fifty women from around the world, at the United Nations headquarters in New York. During this event, one of her works purchased by the organization will be on the cover of all UNIFEM reports and documents during the year.

Since then, Iris has exhibited in several countries. She has exhibited at the Banneker Douglas Museum in Maryland, in Paris, in New York, Washington, Valencia, Beijing, Port-au-Prince and the Antilles. Her works are part of museum and private collections. Iris will exhibit at the Espace Faubourg in Paris in October 2013 and her works will be presented in New York at Artifact gallery in Soho in December 2013.

She continues her artistic research, by following seminars, various training courses and participating in artists' workshops. Painting, engraving, collagraphy, stone sculpture, drawing, so many tools that she uses to express her emotions and dreams.
Her art flourishes and is nourished daily through the exploration of different media, the continuous and meticulous experimentation of new themes in order to satisfy her innate curiosity.

Although inspiration is focused on perpetual research, Iris also reveals the multiple facets of the evolution of an art influenced by transhumance paths, a quest for light and healing, a call for elevation and a desire for awareness. The artist's work reveals a mixed identity that draws on the confluence of diverse cultures, that of her country of origin, Haiti, and that of the countries where she is called to reside. It is in this movement that her creation comes to life. In a space not yet classified where the Traditional, the Ancestral, the Spiritual are absorbed and merge with the scent of modernity.

Artistic expression for me
It is to connect myself directly to a search for myself, like an archer who becomes one with his target.
It is a form of meditation that releases in me, serenity, inner peace and a deep joy.
It is also the search for light, the search for the divine Origin.
The search for all these unknown worlds.
The quest for intense emotions linked to a state of grace or even to another level of Consciousness.
