Biography
Béopé is an artist who combines the use of different mediums and techniques such as earthenware, metal engraving, polaroid, photography and video. After a few stencils in the streets of Paris, he really discovered painting through graffiti in the mid-1980s, then his work turned towards calligraphic gestures, which he ordered through writing lines, in direct link with the tags that initiated it.
In 2002, he discovered the glazes that he has since integrated into his works to give substance to his backgrounds and lighten his compositions where literary inspiration becomes more and more abstract, gradually becoming a frame where symbolic motifs that he works by theme, such as wine for example.
Béopé was born and raised in Paris. He lives and works in Sermoise sur Loire (France). He has a science degree in his pocket, but very quickly turned to artistic creation. In 1992 he moved to Nièvre. He will put his know-how into practice by carrying out a number of visual communication works (posters, signs, banners, etc.) and decoration (festivals, shows, shops, etc.).

Parties de campagne est le fruit d'un travail performatif:
de meetings en débats, tout au long de la campagne des présidentielles,
Béopé a accumulé des paroles de candidat en les couchant sur toile avec ses markers.
Ce travail spontané d'écriture est ensuite prétexte à diverses expérimentations graphiques avant d'être mis sur châssis.
