It is peaceful. Yellow sunlight slices through the water; a fish swims. Suddenly, it is pierced by two golden spears (or are they electrodes?). Instantly the water is thrashed into a chaos of colour. The sunlight is shattered, the water is stained with the red of blood and the black of agony.

David Callahan has lived, worked and travelled in Britain, Germany, France, most of Europe, North and South America and Asia. He has always been an artist and a student of art history. He won his first prize for art at the age of eight, participates in group exhibitions and has been featured in a Saatchi collection. He is a member of the International Society of Acrylic Painters.
David admires the work of Lyonel Feininger and Giorgio de Chirico among others. He works in acrylic, oils and digital media, producing abstracts, landscapes, portraits and figurative works.
His most recent exhibition opened in September 2018 in Florence, Italy.
