Yves-Marie Salanson

Adept of outdoor painting, and lover of the Emerald Coast, I try to recreate the lights of this magnificent region of Brittany. From Cap Fréhel to the tip of Cancale, I offer you a stroll along this seaside, an inexhaustible source of inspiration.

After years of watercolor, several years of pastels, I paint today mainly in oil, in the evenings and on weekends.

Designer by training, supplemented by a master's degree in marketing, I work as artistic director for a French manufacturer of materials for artists.< /p>

I have produced numerous posters and in particular the posters for the Dinard British Film Festival in 2000 and 2001.

My canvases are painted in oil and made with pencil knives. paint.

My ambition is to develop a painting that is simplified but has enough effectiveness to bring out the light and the atmosphere of the place. A painting that saves details to focus only on juxtapositions of colors that are precise and useful for understanding the work. I also work a lot on the play of colors of these keys, trying to detach myself from the source of inspiration to transcribe new vibrations. Each painting is a work that is both introspective and experimental. Find the right tone, place it in the right place to maximize its power and make it as effective as possible for the reading of the scene.
