My process is intuitive, responding to a conversation I am having with the canvas, with a vocabulary of color,
shape and gesture to communicate something beyond what can be expressed with words.
I hope that my paintings will give pleasure, joy and a little thoughtfulness as well.

I was born in 1981 in Poland. I currently live and work in Warsaw. I am a painter , an architect, a woman and a mother.
Looking for still subjects , ways of expressing them , and I hope it never stops.
Karina Antonczak, a contemporary Polish painter, engages in the visual exploration of space, driven by its personal and therapeutic value. Her creative process delves into the realm of envisioning nature purely for the sake of her imagination—a means to encounter the expanse of the horizon and the vast, unoccupied realms. The paintings she produces adopt open, symmetrical compositions, their continuity disrupted by the introduction of a singular detail. Within her work, she endeavors to construct a medium that serves as a conduit for the transfer of energy—a reflection akin to the tranquility encountered on the tranquil surface of a lake. She refrains from rendering her paintings from direct observation of nature. Instead, she crafts imagery hailing from her reservoir of memories, subsequently transitioning them into abstract forms.
