Selon une tradition remontant au moyen âge, les taureaux font face aux raseteurs qui essayent d’arracher des attributs primés placés entre leurs cornes et sur leur front. Cela a lieu dans une arène où les taureaux sont convoyés en groupe à travers la ville par des cavaliers. Le tableau représente une scène de convoyage d’un taureau dans une rue de Lunel par deux cavaliers au milieu d’une foule de badauds. Les plus audacieux tentent de ralentir le taureau qui reste calme et suit les chevaux.
According to a tradition dating back to the Middle Ages, bulls face raseteurs who try to snatch award-winning attributes placed between their horns and on their foreheads. This takes place in an arena where the bulls are conveyed in groups through the city by riders. The painting depicts a scene of the convoy of a bull in a street in Lunel by two horsemen in the midst of a crowd of onlookers. The most daring try to slow the bull which stays calm and follows the horses.
