Painting,
- Dimensions Height 19.7in, Width 47.2in
I was born in France, lived in Canada and the USA and came to England in 1977. I have lived in Taplow since 1988. I am married and I have two sons.
When I was ten years old, a visit to the 'Musee du jeu de Paume' in Paris, France, opened my eyes to colour and great paintings..Paul Cezanne in particular touched my life, Van Gogh, Henri Matisse, Les Fauves and many more.
Colour became my passion..and still is !
I started to paint in the early 1990's and went to Art College to study Fine Art, Life drawing and print making.
I have used a variety of media but now paint mainly in acrylics...to express my life more freely.
Nature is an inexhaustible source of inspiration. Anything that takes my breath away.
I work from sketches drawn in 'plein air', or I take photographs and re-create in my studio to produce paintings that hold the magic feeling of the moment.
My paintings are happy paintings ! Enjoy !!!!!
