Aijaz Qaisar
I have always wanted, since I attained consciousness, to give expression to my feelings. Reflecting over the bygone years, I remember as a kid, aspiring to articulate deeply felt emotions – and painting is the medium that made it easy! And since, have constantly strived to evolve, attaining a higher level with each canvas I painted. As the saying goes, “A picture speaks a thousand words,” I find painting to be the most powerful medium of expression, as an artist is not restricted to any set standards or rules.
Originally, hailing from Kashmir. I left the mesmerizing valley of beauty and peace in 1990 just before it lost peace and all human rights and values were infringed.
I have a Masters's Diploma in Advanced Graphic Arts from CDAC, Pune, India, besides securing a Master's in Mass Communications from Symbiosis, Pune, India.
A self-taught artist, I have been working with lines and colors since adolescence. A deep passion for art has been driving my career toward Mass Communications with a special focus on Visual Communications. I started my professional career way back in 1996 with an advertising company as a Visualiser and very soon ascended to be the Creative Head. And since have been contributing to media production.
I am an artist with varied expressions and styles, I have done a lot of impressionistic work on subjects like landscapes, Figurative, Abstract, and Portraits in both Oil and water mediums.

Solo Exhibition:

“Different facets of Indian woman,” the theme of my exhibition, was based on a series of paintings representing the majority of women in our country, especially those belonging to lower middle class, and rural India.
Though women play larger than life roles, they are still subjugated to oppression. The women of rural Kashmir not only look after the home but also work in fields, whereas the men folk only work in fields. Even God seems to be biased and prejudiced towards women, perhaps He; Himself is a male!
Oppression of women in our society, be it Sati (setting the wife ablaze on her husband’s pyre), or the dowry system, or the constant abuse by the husband under the garb of Marriage (Marital Rape), shocked and moved me, thus taking the visual form of ‘Oppression,’ ‘Abuse,’ and ‘Pain.’
My other paintings depict the powerful roles an Indian woman plays in human relations and society.

Express emotions sincerely
My philosophy behind painting or any art work is to express emotions sincerely with out fear - no fear of judgment, criticism or interpretation - be it social, cultural, religious or any kind of authority.
Intro
I have always wanted, since I attained consciousness, to give expression to my feelings. Reflecting over the bygone years, I remember being a sensitive kid, aspiring to articulate deeply felt emotions – and painting is the medium that made it easy! And since, have constantly strived to evolve, attaining a higher level with each canvas I painted. As the saying goes, “A picture speaks a thousand words,” I find painting to be the most powerful medium to expression, as an artist is not restricted to any set standards or rules.
Originally, hailing from Kashmir. I left the mesmerizing valley of beauty and peace in 1990 just before it turned into a pool of blood and all human rights and values were infringed, rather abused.
I have a Masters Diploma in Advanced Graphic Arts from CDAC, Pune, India, besides securing a Masters in Mass Communications from Symbiosis, Pune, India.
A self-taught artist, I have been working with lines and colors since adolescence. Deep passion for art has been driving my career towards Mass Communications with special focus on Visual Communications. I started my professional career with an advertising company as a Visualiser and in two year’s time ascended to be the Creative Design Manager. And since (for last 8 years), have been working as a Creative Head handling all types of media; Print, Multimedia, and Internet production. Throughout my career with various companies, I have executed a number of Ad. Campaigns and other creative design works.
An artist with varied expressions and styles, I have done a lot of impressionistic work on subjects like landscapes, Figurative, Abstract, Portraits in both Oil and water medium.
