Jean Terasas is a contemporary French artist whose passion for art and creative endeavors led them to delve into illustration under the pseudonym AhAh. Throughout their studies in fine arts, Jean developed an interest in screen printing, which enabled them to transfer their illustrations onto various mediums, particularly textiles, giving rise to their own brand.
Today, all of Jean's prints are meticulously crafted by hand in their workshop located in Angers, encompassing prints on both paper and textiles. Their creations draw inspiration from a myriad of sources, including personal anecdotes from daily life on the Basque coast, a nostalgic nod to the 70s era, and a profound love for surfing and its surrounding culture.
With each piece, Jean Terasas invites viewers into a world imbued with their unique perspective and experiences, offering a glimpse into the vibrant tapestry of their imagination and passions. Through their art, Jean seeks to capture the essence of these influences, creating works that resonate with authenticity and evoke a sense of nostalgia and wonder.
