Surrealistic painting on a thick canvas from a series of paintings. "Subconscious".
The work does not require binding because the side edges are painted and are a continuation of the image - a 3D impression. The work is varnished with glossy varnish (slightly glossy effect - satin effect), ready to hang on the wall. The image signed by the artist in the bottom right corner / Allegory 2017.
The painting is part of an open painting series, launched in 2016 entitled "Subconscious."
The cycle depicts various underwater worlds that are a metaphor for the human mind, where the water line is the boundary between consciousness and subconsciousness, and small figures are an allegory of emotion. The cycle strongly refers to the cycle of "Silence," but it is distinguished by the fact that the hero of history is always the same boy and girl always shown in the same costume, but in different scenery, different emotions and situations. "Subconsciousness IV Dream in a dream" is the fourth work of the "Subconscious" series where the metaphory of dream in a dream is shown by means of symbolism: water seen under water (lake with sailboats under the water) - infinity effect. Painting is ready to hang on a wall.

Born in 1988, she graduated in architecture, but painting has been her greatest passion since childhood, and with time it has also become a way of life. The artist has been gaining more and more popularity for years by cooperating with galleries, taking part in competitions and exhibitions. Her works are also in many private collections.

The artist creates in several styles that can be classified in a generally accepted way, such as surrealism, impressionism or abstraction. However, the works in its version differ from the classic ones and reflect its unique and unrepeatable style.

The first style is surrealism. The proportions and laws of physics are disturbed in it. We often move underwater or into the world straight from macro photography. This unreal place is a specific metaphor of the human mind, connecting consciousness with the subconscious.
The second characteristic style is modern impressionism. There, the artist uses strong colors, thickly applied paint and the play of light to transfer the viewer to another world.
Another trend characteristic of Agata Buczek’s paintings are abstractions. Her output includes such paintings made with many techniques and styles. These are both oil and acrylic paints as well as various types of media. Despite such a diverse approach, we can still notice common features for this artist.

All of the above styles share common features that can be called a unique style unparalleled by any other artist. In a unique world filled with symbolism and emotions, we can immerse ourselves and find something in our inner world, that we have forgotten in our busy lives.
