The etude has been written by two evenings after the exhausting heat reigned in Moscow suburbs in July, 2010. I have settled down near to a footpath on which people and cows in our city go to the river. Very much it would be desirable to plunge into saving spring water and me, but the put creative problems excluded it.
In the evening the condition of the nature changes extraordinary quickly, and I would like to have time to embody it as it is possible more precisely.
So it was necessary to struggle courageously with temptations and, as it turned out, not only with them. While the people borrowed by the affairs past went, all was quiet, but here the cow herd which is coming back on houses in the distance seemed.
Cows went tired, but happy. One of them, apparently, a thin nature, has become interested in my work, has approached, has looked at an etude and even for accuracy of impressions, has sniffed at a canvas. And only I was glad to force of art, from herd was separated also the beginnings terribly to approach on me a huge figure of the bull.
It has furiously looked at the cow who has beaten off herd because of what that, having pretent, that nothing has occured, has returned in build. Then the bull-ревнивец began to come close to me. Something was not it looks like that it too from admirers of my talent, and to me became a little restless. The small boy-shepherd, terribly waved the small whip has rescueed me.
The bull has told to me something impartial in the uterine language and is proud has left, violently whipping itself a tail. The conflict of interests has been settled. Since then I have for ever ceased to admire at cows. And the picture has remained as memory of not taken place love.


Этюд был написан двумя вечерами после изматывающей жары, царившей в Подмосковье в июле 2010 года. Расположился я рядом с тропинкой, по которой люди и коровы в нашем городе ходят к реке. Очень хотелось окунуться в спасительную родниковую воду и мне, но поставленные творческие задачи это исключали. Вечером состояние природы меняется необычайно быстро, и мне хотелось успеть запечатлеть его как можно точнее.
Так что пришлось мужественно бороться с соблазнами и, как выяснилось, не только с ними. Пока мимо ходили занятые своими делами люди, все было спокойно, но вот вдали показалось коровье стадо, возвращающееся по домам. Коровы шли уставшие, но довольные. Одна из них, очевидно, тонкая натура, заинтересовалась моим творчеством, подошла, взглянула на этюд и даже для точности впечатлений, обнюхала холст. И только я порадовался силе искусства, из стада отделилась и начала грозно надвигаться на меня огромная фигура быка. Он свирепо взглянул на отбившуюся от стада корову, из-за чего та, сделав вид, что ничего не произошло, вернулась в строй. Затем бык-ревнивец стал приближаться ко мне. Что-то не было похоже, что он тоже из поклонников моего таланта, и мне стало немного беспокойно. Спас меня маленький мальчик-пастух, грозно взмахнувший своим маленьким кнутом. Бык сказал мне что-то нелицеприятное на своем утробном языке и гордо удалился, ожесточенно хлеща себя хвостом. Конфликт интересов был исчерпан. С тех пор я навсегда перестал заглядываться на коров. А картина осталась как память о несостоявшейся любви.
