The sculpture objective is to denounce what the practice of gold mining have done to the local communities of those mining zones in Colombia.
Turns out , that in order to give the mining rights of an occupy land by this community to a multinational mining company; the government in association with outlaws armed groups displaced and murder the people that live and work in these particular zones.
The idea of a an incomplete puzzle gives the perception of something missing or incomplete. Each piece of the puzzle is made of dirt evoking the land and it parceling. In the empty spaces the idea is to put limbs of people that have been murder or disappear and or personal objects that in the rush for leaving their land they left behind.
