Émilie Singy was born in Switzerland in the canton of Friborg into a family of artists and was imbued with the beauty of art from an early age. She is attracted by bright and delicate colors and literally fell in love with the cyanotype technique which offers endless possibilities. The poetry and delicacy of this process using sunlight are an inexhaustible source of inspiration.
The cyanotype is an old photographic process invented in the 19th century.
During his walks in the countryside, she gleans different plants, leaves or feathers and magnifies their delicate shapes with 24-carat gold leaf.
Calligraphy also stood out to her with its delicate curves and inspiring elegance.
