True, I am tempted to try to imitate in my paintings this infinite range of colors so that they are faithfully captured on canvas in all their perfection.
That's why in autumn I wander less in evergreen coniferous forests and more in search of those places where there are more leafy trees. Sometimes they are leafy forests interwoven with a river, other times just vast parks.
I walk on the colorful carpet of fallen leaves and enjoy the beauty around me.
I believe that this painting, inspired by autumn nature, can also bring its refreshing breath into your home, and its colors will make it calmer, more beautiful, more harmonious and cozier....

Emil Mlynarcik, a contemporary Slovak painter, unveils the soul of nature through his art, drawing inspiration from his roots in a picturesque village nestled amidst the mountains of Slovakia. Born and raised surrounded by the rich tapestry of folk arts, including singing, dance, and crafts, Emil's journey as an artist began with an encounter with landscape paintings in the local library.
His artistic spirit found resonance in the works of Russian painters from the 18th to the 19th century, notably the captivating masterpieces of Ivan Šiškin. These early influences laid the foundation for Emil's profound connection to nature, shaping his approach to artistic expression.
Nature remains the cornerstone of Emil's art practice, a timeless motif that continues to be a central focus. At times, he also delves into rural themes, infused with a touch of nostalgia. In the '90s, Emil briefly explored vedutas of old Vienna, recognizing that his true path lay elsewhere.
Lacking formal academic education in the arts, Emil's approach remains untethered to the influence of a specific teacher or contemporary trends. Throughout his artistic evolution, he has steadfastly pursued mastery in realistically depicting motifs. Every element, from the medium to the style and even the surface, is subordinated to this commitment.
Working with linen canvas on a wooden frame adorned with gesso, Emil exclusively employs oil colors. The deliberate choice of oil colors, with their slow-drying nature, allows him to intricately work on details, resulting in paintings that often bear the spontaneity of the "Alla prima" technique. Unlike the layered stain technique, Emil's approach is characterized by a direct engagement with the canvas.
Emil Mlynarcik sees himself primarily as a painter, eschewing the grandiose title of an artist. For him, the distinction lies in the sheer joy of painting nature—for himself and for those who resonate with the sensitivity embedded in his work. Beyond the nuances of language, Emil's art speaks a universal language, inviting viewers to share in the pure delight of capturing the essence of the natural world on canvas.
