The public space of Moscow, the city cultural and educational center “Zaryadye” is a facility in the historical district of Moscow of the same name, created on the site of the Rossiya Hotel, which was demolished in 2006.
Located on an area of 13 hectares between Kitaygorodsky Proezd, Varvarka Street and Moskvoretskaya Embankment.

It was built in 2014-2017 according to the design of a consortium led by the New York architectural bureau Diller Scofidio + Renfro with landscape architects Hargreaves Associates, also from New York, and Moscow urbanists Citymakers, who won an international competition for the development of landscape design in 2013 -architectural concept of the territory.

Time magazine included Zaryadye Park, the only site from Russia, in its list of the best places in the world in 2018.
In 2018, the Zaryadye complex was recognized as “project of the year” according to the world’s leading architectural publication Archdaily in the “Public Architecture” category.
In March 2019, the park received the main jury prize at the international MIPIM Awards in Cannes.

All 4 climatic zones of Russia have been created in the park: water meadows (there are 2 ponds with water lilies), northern landscape, mixed forest, steppe.
About 760 trees, 7 thousand shrubs, 860 thousand perennials are planted in the park, and about 150 thousand annual plants are grown every year.

You can walk here at any time of the day. The local sunsets against the backdrop of the Kremlin and the forest are very beautiful.

Ekaterina began photographing as a teenager at the age of 14. And of course, it was analog photography. Shooting on a Zenith, playing with exposure, developing and hand printing.

In the 2000's came the era of digital photography, and from the middle of the decade Ekaterina began to engage in reportage photography.
In 2016, she returned to analog photography again.

Now in her work she explores association as a way to connect pictures of the surrounding reality with sensory experience. Her photographs reference books she has read, movies she has watched, music videos, works of art, and simple stories that happen in everyone's life.

The genre of portraiture attracts her with its ability to show the human gaze and real emotion, be it joy, peace, tension, dramatic strife in the soul.

Ekaterina prefers to capture the moment when shooting and takes a film camera even on a simple walk in the park.
