Edita Rakauskaite

I studied painting at the Vilnus Art Academy for six years.
I got a scholarship for the summer residence in Salzburg in the fifth course.
There, I studied the lessons of Alison Knowles and Sandro Chia..
In 1999 I resided in Paris Cité Internationale des Arts.
I was working as a university professor and an art teacher in Lithuania.
My paintings come from the environment, landscapes, interiors, city fragments. It is important for me to see the image and then transform it. I change the structure, composition, colors, but I try to keep the mood, emotions
I participated in group exhibitions (Lithuania, Germany, Italy, France), organized personal exhibitions (Lithuania, Germany, France).
I am the organizer and participant of international art projects ("Water under the bridge" Lithuania - France, 2015, "Rendez-vous sur le pont" Lithuania - France, 2018-2019, "Rendez-vous au château" Lithuania, The Netherlands, France 2021 )Has participated in exhibitions since 1989.
 Member of the Lithuanian Artists’ Union.
