Eva Dvorzsak
I was born in 1954 in Nagyvárad, Transylvania (today part of Rumania). I studied Graphic Arts at the local Folks Art College. After graduating I started studying painting. I turned my artistic talents to painting landscapes and portraits to commissions. This period was the "Golden Era" , time of deprivation under the Ceausescu regime. Food was scarce and also the paints and brushes. I had to learn from old books how to make my own paint and the finest brushes were made by my husband from my little daughters' hair.
1995 we settled down with my family in Hungary. In 2005 I moved to Cambridge, joined the group “Starving Artist”.

Hitvallás
Lételemem a természet. Szeretek teljesen eggyé válni a természettel, megsimogatni egy öreg fa törzsét, kiinni a levelekből a hajnali harmatcseppeket, leheveredni a fűbe és belélegezni az illatát.
Műveimben a természet többnyire érzelmeim és hangulatom kifejezésére szolgáló eszköz, háttér: remény, magány, bánat, szenvedély, , félelem, szorongás, megnyugvás. Úgy gondolom azok a képeim a legkifejezőbbek, ahol mély érzelmek irányítanak munkámban és ösztönösen keverem a színeket es vezetem az ecsetet a vásznon. A meleg színezetű naplementék szenvedélyt, szerelmet sugároznak. A ködös
tájak bizonytalanságot.; a kiszáradt fák, törött ágak, elhagyatottságot; sötét kinyúló kopasz, fenyegető ágak, halálfélelmet; a távoli fények kiutat, reményt idéznek.
Célom a nézőben szeretetet, elégedettséget, kellemes hangulatot ébreszteni. Szeretném az érzéseimet megosztani, felvidítani az embereket, megnyugvással , életörömmel, reménnyel feltölteni őket.
Manifesto
Nature is my element. I like to meld completely with nature, to caress an old tree trunk, to suck the morning dew from the leaves, to lie in grass and breathe in its fragrance.
In my art, nature sometimes appears for the sake of its own beauty: but otherwise I use it as a means of expressing moods and feelings. Hope, solitude, sorrow, passion, love, fear, anxiety, peace of mind. I think the most expressive are those landscapes wherein I’m guided by deep-felt emotions, and I am spontaneously mixing the colours and moving the brushes on the canvas.
Now my purpose is to waken love in people, to cheer them up, to make them feel good when they are looking at my pictures, share in my joy and fill them with hope and love.
