Hello, my name is Dianlan and I am a traditional Chinese painter who grew up in Shanxi Province, China.

My hometown is located on the Loess Plateau of China, in the Taihang Mountains, where the beautiful natural landscape is the place where many calligraphers and painters sketch.

I am inspired by the beautiful scenery in the Taihang Mountains. I also like to study the works of ancient people in Song and Yuan dynasties and modern Chinese color ink painters, I have been inspired by them and gradually found my own style.

The paper I use for my paintings is raw Xuan paper made by ancient traditional methods, and the pigments are made from Chinese mineral plants.

My works express a free view of life.

The work begins with an ink drawing, followed by several dry-dye coloring sessions, and finally wet-dye baking of the clouds.
