Biography
Diana Large is a contemporary Colombian painter based in the Netherlands. Driven by a profound passion for colors, she finds immense joy in exploring their various tones and contrasts. When embarking on her creative process, she starts by carefully selecting the colors that will shape her artwork. Without the need for preliminary sketches, she fearlessly paints directly onto the canvas, allowing the composition to naturally unfold until its final form.
Her love for travel exposes her to a plethora of captivating elements - nature, architecture, light, and music - all of which captivate her attention. Regardless of the destination, whether near or far, each journey becomes a wellspring of inspiration. As she immerses herself in new surroundings, her mind begins to sketch mental maps of these places, transforming them into shapes, patterns, and a rich palette of colors that will ultimately grace her canvases.
Throughout her artistic process, she pays meticulous attention to every single element of her paintings. Each stroke and pattern seamlessly guides the viewer's gaze to the next, creating a playful and joyful dance for the eyes. Her intention is to craft a harmonious composition where every element coalesces into a symphony of visual delight.

Dawn in paradise
Original Artwork inspired by a sunrise on a summer day near a lake. The long grass growing near the water slowly moving with the morning breeze and the first rays of the sun that pass through the branches creating different color reflections in the water that are revealed through a light mist.
