About 31% of the earth's surface is still covered by forests in various degrees of conservation, with approximately 22% of them still untouched. Despite significant survivor coverage, it is estimated that half of the world's forests have already disappeared. Historically, deforestation has accompanied the growth of the human population and the organization of societies. Its main direct causes have been the opening of areas for agriculture, grazing and housing, and the use of wood as fuel and as building material for houses, buildings, ships, furniture, etc. At the beginning of the twentieth century the rate of deforestation fell rapidly in temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere, which until then experienced the most severe losses, and by the middle of the century practically ceased, but in most tropical regions, especially in underdeveloped countries, in the same period, losses accelerated enormously and remain large. About 90% of tropical deforestation has occurred in the last four decades. Through this painting, DCante reveals the expression of his own feelings through a process of subliminal creation of defragmentation of the abstract, culminating with the expression of reality. In this process of creation, DCante reflects the immutable and eternal human being as a form of denunciation of society and desire to change from it to what would be ideal. On this scene, DCante merges realism with its creation process, obtaining an image where we can observe a serene and cozy nook of a living forest, which contains a clear blue lake in the form of a heart and humans incapacitated to carry out the deforestation.
