Davide Capriata is an Italian architect and artist, whose artistic journey began at a young age as a self-taught watercolorist. He later formalized his training by graduating from Art School and earning a degree in Architectural Sciences from the Polytechnic of Milan. Over the years, Capriata has explored various materials and techniques, from charcoal and watercolor to oil and acrylic paints, always in search of new subjects and artistic inspiration. His work focuses on originality, aiming to evoke fresh atmospheres for the viewer.
Capriata's recent artistic production is united by a figurative expression of nature, interpreted in a contemporary style, with a strong emphasis on spatial and compositional research. Nordic landscapes and the figure of the wolf are recurring themes in his work. In 2022, he expanded his creative scope by designing and crafting solid wood objects, combining his architectural knowledge with his artistic sensibilities.
In 2024, Capriata debuted his first abstract and minimalist sculpture paintings in wood, unique hand-assembled pieces that demonstrate meticulous attention to spatial composition and color harmony. These works highlight his commitment to creating balanced and evocative designs.
