La sculpture "Robe Rosée d'araignée" est réalisée en feutre d’écorce battue, ou tapa, une étoffe non tissée, utilisée par les indigènes du Pacifique pour confectionner des articles utilitaires ou des objets de culte, avant l’invention du tissage. Un savoir, dans lequel l’homme privilégie son propre rapport aux cycles de la nature.
La sculpture "Robe Rosée d'araignée" est réalisée en feutre d’écorce battue, ou tapa, une étoffe non tissée, utilisée par les indigènes du Pacifique pour confectionner des articles utilitaires ou des objets de culte, avant l’invention du tissage. Un savoir, dans lequel l’homme privilégie son propre rapport aux cycles de la nature.
J’attribue à cette œuvre, par le biais de la symbolique des croyances aborigènes, beaucoup de vertus, l’origine du tapa vient de la déesse Hina, protectrice et marraine des femmes. Le noir qui ornent le tapa utilisé pour la réalisation de "La Robe Rosée d'araignée" conjure les famines, les ouragans et les manifestations de la nature, c’est la couleur de la crainte, de l’invocation des esprits ancestraux lors des cérémonies.
Le motif ornemental m'évoque les gouttes de rosée sur les toiles d'araignée.
