Asia Sculpture by Corine Dardel

Born in 1965 in South Korea, I was uprooted from my native country at a very young age. I think this is what gave me this determination to cultivate my Asian roots. On my palette this deep red from the Far East often predominates, as well as the search for a discreet sensuality. My only training consisted of countless drawings since my early childhood, to which I never attached importance because I was not destined to become an artist and above all, fascinated by the magnificent works of art that I could admire in I found the galleries uninteresting anyway.
Today my painting illustrates my search for serenity and has taken on importance because it represents a part of my life essential to my well-being.
