Patrick Cochet was born in the suburbs of Lille in 1953. Very young, he is interested in the drawing and painting. His parents register him, as of 5 years, in a private course in Lille (Jussieu now disappeared) with a formation adapted to its age. Doctor in Law, lawyer and academic, it always continued, parallel to his principal activity, to paint what it could both see during his displacements in France and abroad (Greece, Italy...). He already tooks part in many exposures where its fabrics were an unquestionable success. He discovered, a few years ago, Brittany. It was the thunderbolt. It passes now the major part of its holidays to Saint Quay Portrieux. Sensitive to the subtlety of the light, its pallet, rich colors and nuances, admirably recalls the perpetual changes of the Breton sky. The works presented here correspond to several "periods" of the life of Patrick Cochet. Although very different, they are either a homage to the one of its Masters, or the reflection of a state of heart, or the admiration of the artist for the movements of the sea... but all in common has a subtle alchemy of the colors. Alain Arbonnier (Chronicler of Partages)
