The Ernesto Dornelles bridge over the Antas river, linking the municipalities of Veranopolis and Bento Gonçalves in the State of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil), was inaugurated on August 31st 1952. The bridge does not have pillars resting on the river's bed. The supporting structure of reinforced concrete is shaped by two parallel arches with a free span of 186 meters between the supporting points, which are placed on the river's margins. It is considered the world's greatest suspension-bridge with parallel arches.

No ano de 2003, após 35 anos afastado da arte, recuperei minha atividade artística por meio da modelagem e pintura de cerâmica, passando em seguida ao Desenho Livre e, em 2005, pintei o meu primeiro quadro a óleo. De lá para cá participei em mais de 100 exposições físicas e virtuais, obtendo inclusive diversos prêmios. Meu estilo preferido é o Realismo, em busca da perfeição dos traços, das proporções e das cores. Hoje, minha produção já acumula várias dezenas de obras. Aos poucos vou-me aperfeiçoando nesta longa caminhada.
