This work stands out for its refined exploration of the abstract, where geometric shapes and neutral tones combine in a visual dialogue of great intensity. The composition is dominated by a sophisticated palette of grays, beiges and browns, with light accents of white and small touches of red and blue that break up the monochrome, suggesting a subtle and calibrated dynamism.

What is striking is the depth created by the overlapping of the shapes and the materiality of the surface, which appears deliberately irregular and rough. The artist seems to want to evoke a feeling of precarious balance, where apparent chaos translates into a harmonious and intentional construction. The use of mixed techniques, perhaps collage or the application of different materials, enriches the texture, giving the painting an almost sculptural quality.

This work invites the observer to a subjective contemplation, stimulating different interpretations depending on the eye that scrutinizes it. Non-figurative and open, this creation is part of the great artistic research on informal and pure expression, demonstrating a stylistic maturity and a refined sensitivity towards visual language. A work that does not impose itself but lets itself be discovered, transforming itself with every new look.

Chiara De Zan (1987, Friuli Venezia Giulia) began her artistic journey in 2009, developing a research that crosses collage, painting, photography and digital arts with a material and poetic approach. Her practice is based on the use of marginal and waste materials — worn paper, damaged fabrics, natural pigments — recomposed in compositions that investigate memory, the body, fragility and the territory.
Since 2018 she has participated in group and solo exhibitions, collaborations and interdisciplinary projects, proposing works in which the analogical gesture dialogues with sensorial perception, returning narratives full of silence, waiting and transformation.
Among her most significant works are Giallo Pigro, Cavalco la Maladia, Nonno Santo and Madame Snips, works in which the tactile, visual and digital dimensions merge to tell stories of resistance and hidden beauty.
