The work in question presents itself as a bold experiment in the balance between chaos and structure, a chromatic dance that explores the boundary between order and spontaneity. Through the use of irregular geometric shapes and a vibrant color palette, the artist constructs a visual narrative that seems to challenge the traditional perception of space and color.

The predominant tones – black, white, blue, red, yellow and beige – are applied with an energetic and material gesture, creating overlaps that give three-dimensionality to the composition. The decisive and layered brushstrokes add a tactile quality to the surface, inviting the observer to explore every detail with an analytical eye.

There is an intrinsic sense of movement in the lines and overlaps, a visual flow that guides the gaze between the areas of greater chromatic density and the more airy areas. The artist demonstrates a mastery in the management of visual dynamism, creating tension and harmony in a single pictorial space.

This work is part of the abstract tradition, but with a distinctive voice, suggesting a personal interpretation of the interaction between form and emotion. It is a work that is not limited to being observed, but that invites to be experienced, analyzed and, above all, felt.

Chiara De Zan (1987, Friuli Venezia Giulia) began her artistic journey in 2009, developing a research that crosses collage, painting, photography and digital arts with a material and poetic approach. Her practice is based on the use of marginal and waste materials — worn paper, damaged fabrics, natural pigments — recomposed in compositions that investigate memory, the body, fragility and the territory.
Since 2018 she has participated in group and solo exhibitions, collaborations and interdisciplinary projects, proposing works in which the analogical gesture dialogues with sensorial perception, returning narratives full of silence, waiting and transformation.
Among her most significant works are Giallo Pigro, Cavalco la Maladia, Nonno Santo and Madame Snips, works in which the tactile, visual and digital dimensions merge to tell stories of resistance and hidden beauty.
