Just a few decades ago, human beings still thought that our intellect and our other senses were sufficient to have openings to reality. In the last few decades, all understanding on this subject has changed. Today, some individuals have discovered that our senses and our intellect are not totally open to reality, and that they prevent us from directly observing the incontestable nature of reality. Only ten percent of perceived reality goes through the filters of programs within us. Ninety percent of reality is not directly perceived and it is kept outside of us. Sometimes the ten percent that reach us ends up transforming us somewhat. The information we receive about the nature of reality must pass through so many filters and it must conform to so many forms that at the moment we receive this information it is very far from being the true copy of the original.
Our perception of reality is constantly disinformed by the filters of our programs and always interferes with reality because we are the unconscious slave of the automatism of the programs within us. This gives our perception a color and shape that is not adjusted to reality. The unconsciousness of our presence means that we cannot really see what is. It allows us to observe only what the programs within us allows us to see.

Charles Sabourin's metarealism seeks to depict the reality wich exist beyond that psychological subjective perspective. Charles Sabourin's metarealism proposes not only to communicate further than the pictoral aspect of the perception of other dimension of reality, but also the essence of those dimensions and their relation to us as human beings. Metarealism then becomes at tool for the evolution of consciousness; just like in the old day's artists painted sacred art to depict their vision of the reality they perceived trough their spiritual interpretation of other dimensions. Metarealism could be considered a sacred art, in that it also tries to depict, trough a metaconscious perspective, the essence of reality as perceived by a metaconscious mind. Meta meaning, a holistic view of reality as perceived by a supraconscious mind, who sees reality as a whole rather than from a subjective personalized intellectually fragmented point of view. Metarealism is the materialization in pictoral form of the reality of other dimensions and their direct effect, and relation upon us. Metarealism tries to depict the relation’s between those dimensions of reality and how we psychologically interpret them trough our sub mental symbolism.
