Sandra est écrivaine et poète, j'ai donc essayé de transmettre un sens de la poésie dans les idées sur lesquelles nous avons travaillé ensemble.
La photographie originale a été prise sur place dans les bois de Sophia Antipolis dans le sud de la France, tous les éléments de l'image proviennent de mon propre stock cultivé à la main.
Le résultat final est assez fidèle à mes idées initiales, ce qui me rend particulièrement fier, car j'explorais un nouveau type de thème et d'atmosphère.

Caz studied industrial design (applied arts), then took his first steps in film photography in the 90s. At the same time, he continued to work on computer graphics on the "modern machines" of the time in a professional capacity. Finally, he took up photography again (once abandoned) in the early 2000s with the arrival of digital technology.
From this moment, Caz begins his work of digital manipulation.
Today his images are made entirely from photographed elements; there is no computer-generated image or digital painting, the basic material is the pixel, captured by photography and then “sculpted”.
Always very fascinated by photorealism, he expresses himself through this technique allowing him to borrow from both photography and graphic design and giving this hybrid rendering. The inspiration is broad, pin-up, video games and popular culture, science fiction, mythological imagery... art nouveau and more broadly the artistic and technical developments of the beginning of the industrial era; plus a large part of inspiration drawn from psychology or scientific research.
In science fiction, he is particularly attracted to ideas of parallel worlds. His series are built in his mind with numerous links between them:
“I see each image as a window onto universes that observe each other. There is a lot to say about the characters! But they are there to represent the mystery, as much as they are guides” (Caz)
The work on each image is very long (several dozen hours), with a large "narrative" part. In this narrative process, behind the choice of subjects, accessories, themes and composition, there is most often a whole story that carries the image.
He began his biomechanical series in retouching from 2005.
