Carlos Arriagada is an art photographer whose impressive artistic career testifies to his passion and talent. Born in Chile, he was trained at the Professional Institute of Art and Communication as well as at the Photo-Art school in Santiago, Chile. For over 12 years, Carlos worked as a freelance photographer, working in the fields of fashion, advertising and publishing. Alongside his commercial career, he developed his artistic work, focusing primarily on video and photography.
In 2001, Carlos made the decision to settle in Paris to devote himself fully to his artistic work, favoring a minimalist approach. Since then, his works have been featured in solo and group exhibitions around the world, including Mexico, Chile, Brazil, Argentina and France.
Among the prestigious places that have hosted his exhibitions are the Diego Rivera Museum in Mexico City, the Drugstore Gallery in Santiago de Chile, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Santiago de Chile, the House of Culture of Mexico in Santiago de Chile, the Gallery Pierre Verger in Bahia, Brazil, the Sao Paulo Cultural Center in Brazil, and the Ziewood Gallery in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to name a few.
Carlos Arriagada has also won several awards for his works, including the Prix de la Photographie 17ème mai des Créateurs at Orly in France, the 1st Prize Monochrome Libre at the National Photographic Art Salon in Santiago, Chile, and the 1st Color Prize at the Salon National Photographic Art in Santiago, Chile.
In 2021, his photographs were chosen by the famous decorator Luis Bustamante for the decoration of the 4* Hotel Seventy in Barcelona, Spain.
