When we sometimes look for answers, we assume a pattern of enquiry that may not lead to solutions. I simply attempt, during the process of a work, to consciously refrain from values that would otherwise lead to entertainment. Instead, intuition directs me to communicate through a visual language, something i find very natural. It is very difficult to not become constantly distracted by everything around us. The potential of the immediate is always subject to constant change as is ourselves. Therefore the work itself changes and evolves from within and without.....

On, reference for Uninstalling the Primary Circuit…….

That initial inertia in the functionable top hat and tails.
That crisp and squeaky new chip is totally unaffordable for anyone.
Forever wanted yet seldom needed but in par with the promising attributions of tomorrow. What is necessary and what is irrelevant, mind over matter? Our mind like matter indicates behaviour that is forever changing, this is constant. Yet on appearance at times this state would suggest otherwise.
So what is the primary circuit I am referring to?
That animal element in our own private nativity scene is the key.

A painting could be seen as a dilution of what one may regard as a realistic outlook. Similarly a book, or an opinion could function as a model. However the work is not a model of something or anything, “yet known.” Can we truly ever know anything? It could be described through deconstruction, a reversal in process or, “the calm before the storm” (of course there is no storm, just a metaphor i use).

I find myself instantly contradicting myself, perhaps I have read too much of Jean Baudrillards simulation theory and am aware that things are indeed difficult to pinpoint or define. Simulations within simulations.
Therefore at times the work speaks in a language for itself and I believe that most people’s work does this.
In front of the issues, holding the issues back is the meditative stream that controls and nurtures the flow of everything. It is this immediate formal quality that is apparent. We are afraid to speak, we are silenced and if Goethe were here today he may well have said, “that is not such a bad thing.”
