Delroy Russell

Delroy Russell was born in Kingston Jamaica, migrated to Canada where he studied at OCADU and received a Bachelor Degree in Illustration and Design. His early exposure to art was through reading of comics which then led to his studying of the drawings in the comics. He was also fascinated by Picasso's work, especially the political piece called Guernica, which helped to shaped his education up to a point, he then moved away, finding his own path. He finds the use of line and color to interpret the beauty in the world, a tremendous gift, it is mostly his reason for existence.

Winning at Juried Exhibitions in Peel, Exhibitions  at Mississauga Art Gallery, Nominated  at the Marty's Award show, at the Living Art Center and having a work collected at CBC, has Humble and encouraged him to strive for greater spiritual awakening
