Né au Mans le 24 octobre 1962, Bruno Gauclain s’est mis à la peinture en arrivant dans la région il y a 6 ans. Il a toujours aimé dessiner.

Après avoir d’abord testé l’acrylique et le pinceau, c’est à travers la peinture à l’huile et le couteau qu’il s’exprime réellement, et à l’instinct.

Elève de l’école hyper impressionniste corbièraine auprès d’Yvon Bonnaffoux, sa prédilection va surtout sur des sujets figuratifs pleins de lumière et de couleur.

Il peint la Provence des chemins creux, des ballots de paille, des jas perdus, des rious et talwegs verdoyants.

En effet, il a une passion pour peindre la nature : fleurs, champs, montagnes, étangs, rivières, chemins… mais aussi le patrimoine local comme pour redonner vie au passé : murets, mas, jas, bories, cabanons, puits, pigeonniers, moulins, bastides, villages, fontaines, chapelles…

Peintre autodidacte et amoureux de sa région le Luberon, il est enthousiasmé par les paysages qui l'entourent qu’il cherche à sublimer par le couteau.

Il travaille au couteau à partir de 5 couleurs primaires, dans le "frais", ce qui donne une grande variété de couleurs, et un réalisme étonnant avec des vibrations de lumière.

Lors de ces expositions, il adore rencontrer les gens, partager sa passion et la technique, à travers des démonstrations sur place.
