Bio of Howard wilemon

The artist began to discover his creative roots about 1980 when he began to design and carve in wood. Mixed with carving the first years he began to draw with charcoal and pastels. Shortly, while working with other artists he discovered acrylics which remains his primary medium. Although studying on his own predominantly, he has painted with artist groups for support over the years and currently paints with a group in the Buford Artist colony.(Georgia) He has been represented by galleries in Anniston and Birmingham, Alabama. In the Atlanta metro area his paintings have been shown at Art Station in Stone Mountain Village, at the Gallery at Chateau Elan and at Swilley Library on the Atlanta Mercer College Campus.

I enjoy drawing inspiration from places my wife and I have visited. The photo taking is fun and putting together a painting from these memories is also a great pleasure. If these memories please others then we have all shared a happy moment.
