In this painting, I used acrylic paints in the technique and style of watercolors, because I associate summer with something light, especially when it comes to water.
The subject is in the center of attention, as a bright focus among the white background, which dissolves, creating the impression of lightness and weightlessness. The quarry's waters come to life with the reflections of the sun playing on the waves and the splashes of joyful swimmers bathing and sunbathing while standing on the stones and rocks of the quarry, as there is no sand there.
The fact is that every year the water in the quarry rises by several meters and the depth of the quarry increases. For example: four years ago, we swam and jumped off the rocks, which are not visible anymore, as they are flooded.
The sound of the siren while bathing still makes us forget about the martial law in the country, but we try to continue living a normal life.
In this painting, I combined impressionistic and somewhat realistic style, conveying the dynamics of the moment. Abstract streams of paint, flowing in drops like rivers of time, call to perceive summer as a boundless flow of joy and unceasing vitality.
This canvas is a kind of response to the mirror surface of the water, which reflects not only the picture of a summer vacation, but also my emotional state. Lightness, play of light and shadow, as well as abstract lines - all this is reflected in the dance of colors, creating an atmosphere of joyful summer wind.
Figurative Art - I like to draw people in their habitat, this is a city, street scenes, intersections, cafes. In my watercolor paintings, I show how a person depends on the social environment and develops it.
My Acrylic painting on Stretched Canvas, using mainly palette knife and Acrylic paints. I like using palette knife for effects of splatter and color saturation.
