Article
“Great discoveries are made slowly, and there is no eureka without a long and tedious preparation behind it.” Michel Seuphor
It is with this understanding that I approach the process of art making which includes the absorption, processing, formulation, and finally the development of a subject. My paintings are derived from a photographic record combined with memory association and latent personal biases of the experience. These records are accepting of the need for a dialogue between the natural environment and technology. The combination of this theme and the process of layering and development of time form the basis of my artwork.
