I like to stop, sit on the rocks that plunge dizzily into the sea, let myself be rocked by the wind, contemplate the cloudy horizon, aware that nothing is going to change. Nobody will arrive. I experienced the icy water, the strong currents that pull us offshore even if they are enclosed between imposing walls or skim long beaches, in wide or restricted bays...
But why here?
The rocks also fall firmly in other places. Further north the wind blows more insidiously, towards the east the vastness is more desolate. The land ends at every point further west along the coast.
Maybe that's why: because to the wild forces that regulate everything further north, there is added the tepidity of the south, the warmth of people who are still as we were and can still try to be. Humble and rich. No panting…
