Asari Fukushima
I started to draw and paint pictures when I first lived with a cat called 'Madam Oi' 14 years ago. She was the most adorable and beautiful creature I'd ever seen. Living with her gave me so much inspiration and I just had to vent the feeling I got from her somehow, so I started to produce my work.
I studied art in St Martins in London. After that I came back to Japan and started to study Traditional Japanese style painting.
Currently, I live in Shiga in Japan with lots of family cats, very happily.
My aim is to create a cats work, as beautiful as they are. 'Til then, my quest will continue!
