Jean Maynard

Jean Maynard paints in oils, pastels, and watercolors. She lives in New England where most of her paintings have been created and has also painted in Florida and in France. She studied in Wesleyan University's Graduate Liberal Studies Program and earned her Master of Arts in Liberal Studies degree in 1980 with a concentration in literature and art history, then returned to the program and earned a second masters in studio art In 1996. Her work has been exhibited in Wesleyan's Zilkha Gallery, in Venice, Florida, in several libraries in Connecticut, and most recently in the Mayor's Office in Middletown, Connecticut. She paints with a group, The French Connection, and is a member of The Art League of Middletown and The East Hampton Art Association.
