This series features as selectiion of Angelika's smaller abrstrct drawings.
All drawings are created with pastels and charcoal on selected papers.
In her practice Angelika treats every art work as a new project and while she has developed her own signature style, each drawing is unique in style and content and emerges from 'deep within' over a longer period of time. Making these artworks rare and unique.
Angelika developed this style of working after spending an intense year of renewed skill training and study at the UCL Slade School of Fine Art, University of Roehampton, Goldsmith University of London where she studied different art practices and Art Therapy.

While having experimented with digital art making in the past, Angelika first started working in this [...]
While having experimented with digital art making in the past, Angelika first started working in this style in 2023, when she was commissioned by London Parks to create photo works for an outdoor exhibition.
After visiting the park for several weeks and creating a photographic profile, Angelika developed the concept that she wanted to create something for the park's public which was both inspiring and entertaining. Considering the wide spectrum of visitors of all ages and all backgrounds, she developed the concept to create a tailormade artwork Following from this idea the images were designed to add to the beautiful nature of the park and to bring joy and inspiration to the visitors during all seasons, light and dark, sun and rain.
Once the idea developed, Angelika worked over several days to create individual handmade artworks. Working each image to a specific colouscheme and allowing chance in the process, each artwork has a unique signature. Merging her photographic style with her art making, once the process of creating the image was final, Angelika deleted its digital workfile which, just like in analog photography, makes the process final and unretracable.
To diversity her portfolio and show that this process works well for different settings, Angelika reworked some of her urban photos and added them to the series.
All images are based on Angelika's own photography and are digitally hand coloured over several days.
All art works are available as personally signed limited edition art prints of 50 in A4, A3 and A2.
