The well itself, constructed from rustic wood that has weathered many seasons, speaks volumes of a bygone era. Its surface may show distinctive marks from years of use, such as deep grooves from ropes or chains, and patches of peeling paint revealing the natural wood beneath. Moss or lichen might be found clinging to its sides, highlighting the well's age and its integration into the surrounding environment.

I enjoy showing the extraordinary in the ordinary. Light and shadow create an amazingly elegant, ephemeral beauty in the surrounding world and a subtle simplicity in the image.
In most of my photographs, I shoot documentarily, but the only change in this process occurs when I work on the computer to make the final edits for printing. It is here that I allow myself greater freedom in how the photograph will ultimately look. I enjoy photographing in series.
