In the Cult series, the key plot is the clash of two human paradigms. On one side - conscious and independent Human, with unlimited potential for development and evolution, on the other - Human, located in the modern digital reality. The artworks from this series raise the question of finding a place for modern man in our technological world.

The destructive aspect of technological evolution and digitalization is the ability of large corporations to manipulate and control human attention. Technologies of maintaining attention of those in front of the screen are getting smarter every year, because there are hundreds of smart guys working (for good salaries) on the back end, and they do what their corporation's business model tells them. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest… All these giants share a common goal – financial enrichment. Attention mining is incredibly profitable. All that results in polarization of society, fake news, ignorance, digital addiction, election hacking etc.

For a deeper understanding of the problem, we recommend watching the film of Jeff Orlowski «The Social Dilemma». This film was the beginning of research on the impact of digitalization on modern Human.

Andrey and Alexey Kulibin are self-taught artists who established their studio in 2020. Lacking a specialized artistic education, they ventured into the realm of art unbounded by conventions. They skillfully melded sculpture and painting, eventually honing a distinctive style. Their creative endeavors span a variety of mediums - encompassing painting, sculpture, and digital art. Leveraging their background in advertising, they delved into the intricacies of industrial materials and machinery. Over the past three years, this exploration has yielded a diverse array of techniques and forms.

At the core of their artistic approach lies the fusion of painting with three-dimensional constructs, painstakingly crafted through the utilization of CNC machinery and 3D printers. Within their artworks, they delve into the motif of societal metamorphosis in our contemporary technological landscape, where the value of human attention has transformed into a commodity.
